Civil Procedure. Torts. Criminal Law. Lawyering Process I.
That will be my life for the next several months as I begin the journey through law school.
From what I've been told, this first year of law school will be challenging and stressful. I read Scott Turow's One L and watched The Paper Chase at the suggestion of my father to get a sense of the work I'll have to put in over the next 10 months to survive my first year at the Sturm College of Law. I'm not convinced, however, that I'll have any professors like Kingsfield.
I'll be reading - a lot - and massaging my writing style to better match the legal one. My plan is to (finally) update this blog regularly with musings about my readings and perfecting my writing. I'll warn you now that there will probably be a great number of legal idioms, latin phrases and "wherefores" in these posts.
That said, I am still proud that I built this blog from scratch and still enjoy programming and playing with data. It's going to be my nerd(ier) hobby, so I'll likely have some random projects or articles I found interesting from Hacker News about which to post.
